Weekend get away

This past weekend we flew to Shreveport, LA with Michael and Mary Kate for their 10 Year Anniversary! We had so much fun Gambling and eating some really good food! Thank you guys for including us in the festivities. We had a blast!

Great Friends

A couple of weeks ago I drove down south to Magnolia to visit some of my college friends. I had so much fun and we all got some much needed girl time!

Sick baby

We have had a sick baby since Thursday night and it breaks my heart! Ella threw up twice Thursday evening and then broke out in a rash on Friday. We took her to urgent care Friday night and the Dr just knew she had strep. Her poor throat had tons of little blister down it and he said some kids with strep develop a rash. Well, the strep test came back negative but sometimes you have to wait for the culture to grow so the Dr still treated her as if she had strep. By Sunday the rash had spread all over her body especially her legs, feet, and hands, so we took her back. Come to find out she has hand, foot and mouth disease. I called where she goes to Mother's Day Out and they said 3 other kids in her class have it as well! (The JOY's of MDO)
She still has the rash but is acting so much better, THANK GOD! It's so hard when you have a baby who can't yet really communicate with you on what's hurting! It's was so sad to see her so miserable.

MDO update

Ella's second day of MDO went good! I was worried that when we pulled up she would not want to go in, but she did. After I walked out of her room she cried for about 2 min and then was fine. I love seeing her face when I pick her up. She has the biggest grin when she see's me.!

After I picked her up on Wednesday we went and rode the train at the park. At first she was a little iffy on what we were doing but by the second time around she was loving it!

Mother's Day Out

Yesterday was Ella's first day at MDO. It was hard but we both survived :) Right when we got there she was so excited to see the play ground and the other kids. When we got into her classroom she was all smiles and went straight for the baby dolls.

When Josh and I finally left her room she started crying but it didn't last long. This really made me sad and nervous. I called about 45 min later to check on her and they said she was doing great and eating her snack. Thank God!!

I'm hoping Wednesday goes just as well. I know in the long run it's going to be so good for her to interact with other kids her age.

Sunday night we invited Cooper and Hadley to come over and shoot some fireworks (mainly sparklers) The kids had so much fun! It's so nice that Brax and Ella live right down the road from their cousins :)
